From a single idea to a worldwide standard

The adjustable die itself has existed since 2000. The original concept of the adjustable die as we know it today was brought to market in 2008, marking the official start of VLM.

What started with a good collaboration grew into a partnership and later, the full acquisition of VLM by Frank and Carlo.

Together, they combine more than 70 years of experience in metalworking, machine construction and tooling design.

With over 30 years of experience in the metal industry, Frank combines technical insight with a strong commercial mindset. He is responsible for worldwide sales and customer relations and stays closely involved in product development.

Carlo Vangompel, Technical Director

A true engineer at heart, Carlo brings more than 40 years of hands-on expertise in machine construction and precision tooling. He drives innovation at VLM designing systems that perform flawlessly under demanding conditions.  Every improvement starts at his drawing table and ends in a proven, high-performing die.
